In one of the Philippines’ most challenging operating environments, NEPEAN Conveyors delivered a game-changing materials handling solution that unlocked massive productivity gains and set a new benchmark for efficiency.
The region’s wet season posed a long-standing problem: traditional truck haulage was unable to operate reliably due to extreme rainfall and deteriorating ground conditions. This limitation capped annual production at approximately 750,000 tonnes per year, far below the operation’s potential.
NEPEAN Conveyors was engaged to design, supply and deliver a fully integrated overland conveying system that could operate year-round, withstand harsh tropical conditions, and significantly increase throughput.
A Fully Engineered Overland System
The project scope included a complete end-to-end materials handling solution:
- 2 × overland conveyor systems
- 2 × truck dump stations and hoppers
- 1 × FEL dump station and hopper
- 3 × belt feeders
- 1 × reversing conveyor
- 1 × fixed stacker
- 3 × overland conveyors
- 2 × 75-metre radial stackers
Every element was engineered for reliability, maintainability and continuous operation, critical in a climate where downtime is costly.

By replacing and supplementing truck haulage with NEPEAN Conveyors’ overland conveyors, the site gained the ability to operate uninterrupted through the wet season. The results were extraordinary:
